The Continual Adventures of Etiquette, Or Lack Thereof
Back when it was actually kind of a pain to get a Gmail account, I got a code from my dad and got my own Gmail account – yay! Of course, you get an automatic 50 invites to spread the Googley love and I wanted to make sure other people could get on, so I gave mine all out to the Gmail Invite Spooler.
When someone joins, it automatically adds you (as the inviter) to their contact list.
Carlos joined after getting my invite . . . and started sending me messages, mainly email forwards. In Spanish. I’m relatively sure he’s just selecting all of his contacts and pressing SEND SEND SEND.
So, Dr. Datingish Etiquettishes, how do I tell this guy to stop, por favor?

You want to tell him in Spanish or English?
tiennen la boca?
er wait thats not right…
EL STOPPO SIR ANNOYING-O
sign his email up for porn sites…
Can you block emails from him?
I’d just tell him politely..I’m not sure if you know this, but I don’t read Spanish. I’m sure there are others on his list that have the same problem. Or you could always mark them as spam.
Set up a filter to forward it back to him, and delete your copy, and skip the inbox. You’ll never see it, and he might get the message.
Or use their new custom auto-response feature to spoof a “mail not deliverable” reply to his address.
Or forward all of your spam to him, to teach him a lesson (joking, joking)
@john - I’ve got to agree with John on this one.
This guy had the privalege of you inviting him, HE should be doing YOU a favor by not including you. Infact, you should start forwarding alot of boring emails in a foreign language to him so that he gets a taste of his own medicine. Maybe then he’ll subtly understand.
no good deed goes unpunished. i only sent out my invites to people i knew. heh.
he’s not a friend of yours, right? i’d just block his emails.
I do not know what features are on gmail, but 1st block his address or I like the idea what John has said. Is there a spam button somewhere on gmail.
Oy vey.
LOL @ John
either block his gmail or write this:
parar (cease)
@john - The guy might think you’re doing him a good deed. : x Not the best idea at all!
Natalia, Can you tell me why I can’t upload photos or get to my invites. I have emailed support with no results. Judi
No one knows how to say BUZZ OFF in spanish?
vi argote largarse!
Looks kind of like your telling him he has a large ass… hmmm…
Dear Carlos,
Please stop, por favor.
Sincerely,
Natalia
I haven’t the slightest clue.
Does he understand English?
Say this: “Para por favor”. I’m not a Spanish excellent, but I know some phrases. I’m just not sure if it says “Please stop” or “Stop please”. Either way, it works. And this is a little random, but you STILL listen to No Doubt? ….me too.
@angi1972 - lol
