What is a song you would be embarrassed about if your friends knew you listened to it?
For real.
I love kids’ music . . . here are my childhood essentials straight from my mp3 player.
1) Anything from Schoolhouse Rock
2) Sesame Street: I Love Trash/I’d Like to Visit The Moon
3) Arthur and Friends: Havin’ Fun Isn’t Hard (When You’ve Got A Library Card) followed closely by Leftovers Goulash
4) The Wiggles: Hot Potato/Henry The Octopus/Fruit Salad
5) Marcy Marxer: Jump Childrenomg, maybe I will make a mix tape for children
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

haha fruit salad. My friend sang that nonstop in junior high.
Haha, I wish the Wiggles were around when I was little. The music isn’t half bad.
Wiggles cant stand them!
I LOVE some of the kids music! Any of the They Might Be Giant’s Cd’s… Have you heard those?
Or anything by Dan Zanes and friends!
Hmmm Maybe I will make YOU a CD! =D
Sorry comercial break from Project Runway is over… gotta go!
I’m never embarrassed by my music. (Of course, I don’t listen to The Wiggles.)
Yummy Yummy.
“Conjunction junction, what’s your function? Hooking up words and phrases and clauses…” (is that right?)
Awww they stole mine! “Conjunction junction, what’s your function?” It pops out of my mouth! sometimes!
i listen to kids songs all the time…especially barney’s & little einstein..hahaha..so cute & nice to hear also.
I’m never embarrassed by the songs I like. Hell, most of my friends know I like blues, pop, hip hop, rock, metal, classical/orchestral, jazzz, some techno, funk, alternative, Latin, and Barbershop Quartet.
Disney songs
wait, wait. i was going to comment away about your… unique… musical tastes, but then i read, and got the feeling something was off. so i reread. but the feeling was still there, and i couldn’t place it. so i reread another time, and missed it yet again. thankfully i’m a determined little man with poor time management skills. so, i read it a fourth time. i think that’s the time i saw it. it coulda been the fifth. by that time, who’s keeping count anymore, right? anyways, my point is…
you’re making a mix TAPE?!
do children know how to use tape players anymore?
@JadedJanissary - i will make sure they know how to use them. tapes – NEVER FORGET
Ahhh… Fruit Salad is the best! lol
What about Crazy Bus? After all, you DID let that scrobble!
You’d be embarrassed to let your friends know, but the big wide internet is okay? (ponders)
I frequently break out into entire School House Rock songs, with my adult brother, despite my husband’s eye-rolling. I’m totally with you on School House Rock.
@sonnetjoy - enh, i don’t embarrass easily and my friends are pretty cool people
Hot potato hot potatooooooo, cold spaghetti cold spaghettiiiii…
I am thoroughly embarassed that I know the words to all of the wiggles songs you mentioned.
Fruit salad, YUMMY YUMMY!
@Natalia - Yes, but the question in general suggests my pondering.
I can’t say there is music that I’m embarrassed about but the other day my 13 year old caught me WATCHING Arthur. I love Arthur.
And yes, I love – Arthur and Friends: Havin’ Fun Isn’t Hard (When You’ve Got A Library Card)!
@skanickadee - arthur is hilarious! i don’t care if i’m too old for it.
