Dia de los padres
This is my dad with his sixth child, Eleanor Rigby. Here are some fun facts about him.- He can never be president of the US because he was born in Europe.
- English is his second language! You would never know that if you talked to him.
- He is a Six Sigma black belt
- I’m still not exactly sure what that entails
- He makes fabulous omelets every time I come home to visit
- He is a soccer champ and is always a fair ref
- He is not, however, afraid to give out yellow cards
- He has been married to my mom for 28 years and has put up with a lot of craziness in the past three years
- He attended the gymnastics meet where I got a 7.4 on my floor routine (1-up!)
- He has twelve keychains of various shotguns/rifles/handheld weapons because I got them for him for Father’s Day!
. . . and he bought Xanga Premium.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads on Xanga.
P.S. I cried twice during Meet the Press today and subsequently got weepy after the show while I was on the phone with Matt. Oh, Tim . . . you make me want to be a better person.

Happy Fathers Day to your daddy Natalia!
3 recents years of craziness? haha.. do you mean menopause?
For some reason it was Bruce Springsteens letter that got me.
He sounds like an interesting guy. Glad you have him for a Papa.
I’m sorry for your loss Natalia.
I had to go look up Six Sigma, because it was new to me. I’m impressed.
Tim Russert is probably irreplaceable.
I think a Six Sigma black belt entails honing the awesomeness within.
I saw MTP this morning as well. It was awfully heart-wrenching. He will be sorely missed.
your father seems pretty cool
happy fathers day
Six Sigma black belt? ooooooh. Impressive.
What a wonderful post about your dad
He sounds like one special man..* I am happy for you ..* And it is so sad about Tim R..and what a sweet thing to say….take good care…hugs* love, Lee
I would love to know your dad… he looks so cool!
Looks like Tim did his job. He must be happy to know he made a difference in someone’s life. (Well, sure he knows! You didn’t think he was up there on a cloud just playing a harp???)
Your dad sounds like a great guy. Happy Father’s Day to him.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to MTP this morning. I bet it was heart-wrenching.
Tim Russert will always be alive in my heart, right next to Tupac and Princess Diana.
you should have bought him xanga premium, heh!
I’m definitely going to miss Tim Russert. He was a great guy!
Thanks for the Britney link. It’s a pretty good song. And I’ve been looking at that puppy picture about 12 times a day. Adorable!!!
You forgot “He is a Beatles fan, enough that he named his dog after a Beatles song, which makes him ultra cool”
…I’m not sure whether I should admit to the facts that (a) I know what six sigma is, and (b) I too am a qualified football referee.
he sounds like a wonderful dad!
i can never be president either :/
and i like what your dad named his 6th child :]
and i am impressed he has a xanga…and premium!
Six Sigma black belt? I need to look that up, now that you’ve got my curiosity piqued.
Where is Eleanor Rigby? Maybe im just going blind. =/
@Queen_of_You188 - she’s the furry brunette
Oh! I get it. Never mind!!!!
Natalia,
You are the best. Great entry, and you found a picture of Ellie when she is not in hot pursuit of small furry creatures!
You are an inspiration to your siblings and a source of great pride and admiration to your mother and me. You so do rock!
