  • What are five things you hate?

    1) bureaucracy
    2) standardized testing (who has two thumbs and decided not to take the SAT or ACT? this girl)

    • you are not a number, nor should you be represented by one!

    3) mandatory drug testing when I am involved

    • which is not to say that I would be in trouble from these drug tests, because I wouldn’t; rather, I resent the implication that I am in some way guilty until proven innocent

    4) bad wifi connections
    5) people who put “lol i dont read” on their Facebook profiles. READ A BOOK!

happy friday! i’m going to see satc tonight and learn how to play some new songs on my geetar tomorrow. yay!

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

  • I wrote “slow Internet connection” on my list. And it’s number four as well. Ha! And I completely agree about reading. Books are such joys.

  • My big one is tyrannical frat’ and sor’ types.  Bully cliques…that sort of thing.  The kind one runs into occasionally on Xanga.  Nothing sadder than wanna be fraternity brothers and sorority sisters that think they can pick on the rest of Xanga.

  • SAT’s are there to make young, brilliant minds think that they are not good enough.

  • @BADBOYDOOMDADDY - Please don’t leave off-topic posts on my site – thanks!

  • I’m thinking I hate trolls at the moment.

    Trolls and psychotic net-creeps…

  • How is this off topic?  I am stating, just as others are, one of the five things I hate.

  • I fall into number 5.  :P   I honestly don’t like reading.  Not to say that there are no good books, because there are.  I’ve read a few of them.  Also, I’m not trying to disrespect other readers.  If that is your thing, then neato.

  • Do you read music for playing the geetar?
I got a mandolin and learned to read music, which I really enjoyed, they suggested tablature but I did not want to learn that way for some reason.

  • @seedsower - not yet . . . i can read music but wouldn’t know how to read it for guitars yet – i can do tabs for the time being

how’s mandolin? i have a banjo in ohio waiting for me to get my act together and bring it back with me one of these days

  • You have some good ones…

  • ooo, I like number two. (but I did fairly well on the ACT so I’m not going to complain) But I know people who are smarter than me who just arn’t good at tests. Tis a pain.

  • The mandolin is beautiful, the tones are rich and pure,I have a Breedlove and I really enjoy it.I like the banjo too,I was listening to a song on Jaems’s site that had a banjo in the background,it sounded so good. It was Scarlett Johansson singing and it was better than I thought it might be.

  • They let you into college without the ACT or SAT???

  • @skanickadee - with a scholarship!

  • I agree with everything.

  • The word brilliant comes to mind.

    Wow!  I’m impressed!

  • you haven’t banned that weirdo yet? You know the one.

and I agree, people that say “lol I don’t read”, should be punched in the neck-bone.

  • bad connections are the scourge of the Internet. arrgh.

  • @theblackspiderman - No she hasn’t banned the weirdo yet…and even he knows which one.  Do YOU want to implicate Natalia in this as well?  This would be on topic now that I, the weirdo, have been brought up.  Wouldn’t you agree? Or is there a double standard on this one as well?

  •  I agree with you all the way, those are five things i despise too. i hate the whole educattion standard really but what can you do

  • I never took the ACTs or SATs either. Screw them!

  • 1. People who bother me.
    2. Stuck up people.
    3.MySpace
    4.Plane crashes
5.People i know and love dying.

Now you know five things I hate. And, trust me: The list goes on, and on, and on, and on…

  • bad wifi connections are so frustrating

  • i hate standardized testing, too, but it’s required for all the colleges i want to apply to. :(

  • Ugh…

    non-readers.  Ugh.

  •  1 and 5 have got my number. 1 especially.

i don’t have to worry about bad wifi because i can jerry rig my cell phone with my laptop to get internet on my computer anywhere my phone has regular voice reception.

standardized testing is a necessary evil to make distinctions. you can’t personally interview 20 million students, sometimes u need numbers. only something like 3% are adversely affected because for one reason or another, that percentage tests poorly than what they’re actually capable of. but since it works out for the other 96%, you can’t bad the system entirely. for those who feel they’ve got the short end of the stick, they can always make their case/claim through other means.

(btw, i completely made up those stats but i think standardized testing  by and large, for the most part, for better or worse, works.)

no facebook for me. XANGA for life!!! (im *this* close to paying for it)

  • I agree with numba 5

  • Did i mention MySpace? I hate that. I hate tests and I hate idiot boys who don’t leave me alone! Man, some boys are true idiots.

  • youre top on the featured list, xanga ftw?

  • I wish people who don’t read wouldn’t act like it’s funny. There’s nothing funny about not reading.

  • hey!

thank you SO much for deleting that site…
    means the world to me…

    Krystina

  • I hate standardized testing as well as don’t we get enough testing already? And yes, bad WiFi connections bother me EXTREMLY bad too, defintely when I’m having to do something important and it takes years to load pages because they don’t put routers where they need to go.

Isn’t that really popular though “lol I don’t read books” it makes you look ‘cool’ according to the facebook rules of profile completion.

  • im on my webcam now on xanga. you should go

  • my webcam thing is not working!

  • alright go back its working now

  • i fell so stupid now because of my webcam

  • after playing guitar hero for the past two days, i dusted off my guitar from years ago and cried because my fingers hurt too much to hold any of the strings down, let alone strum without a pick. but i want to learn again..damn f chord. you should record your playing on xanga!

and here’s a mini for responding to my pulse!

  • I feel you on the book thing…. There’s also that portion of the population that get that glassy-eyed look or, more commonly, the cold sweats at the very mention of the word “Book”….

  • Dear Natalia,

I wanted to send you roses, but couldn’t, because this is only for text. Thanks again for the help !

  • 1) don’t we all, don’t we all…
    2) awh. I took the SAT last saturday =/
    5) YESSSSSSSSS
