Who would be the best actor/actress to play you in a movie about your life?
we started talking about this online last night, actually . . .
Andy thinks that Ryan Gosling should play Matt, which I can understand.
I think Andy should be played by Adrien Brody
and I’d either want to be played by Kelly Reilly (from L’Auberge Espagnole)
or by Diane Keaton circa Annie Hall
( . . . you guys have seen me make that face during Office Hours more than once, I’m sure)
as a reference, here we are last June at graduation, so you can judge fo’ yo’self:
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

definately kelly reilly for you.diane keaton isn’t cute enough.
as for me, toby maguire. we look alot alike if i keep clean shaven.
Yeah I think Kelly, too!
Kelly would be a good fit. (I’m talking like I know Ms. Reilly; I don’t).
I’m glad that I’m alive, too.
clearly brad pitt should play me. they just gotta chinkify his eyes.
Mmm, Kelly.
I love Adrien Brody and Ryan Gosling.
.
-Anna.
nice… no one really fits me. maybe Drew Barrymore sans slut-mode. but thats the closest i can come up with for myself. i agree with the multitude (*SHOCK!*), Kelly is SO you! =)
kelly reilly…especially if the movie was made this year. Dianne Keaton is too old now.
Ooh, good picks. He DOES look like Adrien Brody.
YOU LITTLE SPY
ooh, i totally see the diane keaton circa annie hall resemblance!
definitely kelly reily for you.
what about personality wise? not that any of us really know actors/actresses first-hand. or some of us might, and those that do are wankers. i kid. but was your answer based upon looks or personality?
@owbert - that was why i picked keaton. when i watched annie hall, it was like watching myself on screen
Reply to your comment: I can teach you how to. :]
ryc: which ones are top 3?
@silence_of_words - this very second? portuguese, esperanto and chinese
@Natalia - Esperanto, really? Isn’t it the language that was supposed to become world language but no one needed it cause there’s English anyways?
@silence_of_words - right! i read a book this weekend that briefly explained it – it was supposed to be a universal european language and never took off the way it was supposed to. essentially, though, all the verbs are regular and end with easy endings depending on the subject . . . so as long as you learn verbs and endings, you can get along just fine. i’m dying to learn another language.
@Natalia - I think Chinese’s more usable. I somewhere heard that they teach it in some English schools already, cause they think it’s important to know. I just wished our school would’ve done that. ^^
@silence_of_words - definitely . . . i’ve been writing a lot of customer support emails to chinese users lately and have had to rely on google translate, which is frustrating
@Natalia - I wouldn’t want to rely on google translate haha
Chinese is easy in terms of grammar, the only thing is the signs and intonations. At least intonations are secondary if you need it mostly for mail-responding
You don’t have someone who can speak Chinese as mother tongue on Xanga?
@silence_of_words - we do have a handful of people who can speak it, but as the one who answers all the emails, it’s really up to me to do it . . . i need to sit down and try to learn it!
are matt and andy living in nyc too? also, definitely diane keaton.
@vikas - no, they’re in columbus
but we talk every day for probably longer than we would if we lived in the same state. also, i am glad you agree with keaton. a+++++++++
wow, nice choice with the diane keaton.
Diane Keaton went to my community college! I’m so proud. So proud, in fact, that I took almost 4 years (on and off) to transfer out of there… okay…Keaton had little to do with it. But it’s still cool she used to go to my school.
I don’t know who Kelly Reilly is so Keaton seems like a good pick to me.
As an Asian guy, I can only stick with the few profitable asian actors in Hollywood to play me. So I basically have Jackie Chan or maybe that guy from Harold and Kumar.
@M_i_k_E_k_i_M - that’s so cool! i love her . . . she’s doing a reading in town next month and it will take all my willpower not to jump up and hug her
I just wanted to let it be known that L’Auberge Espagnole/Les Poupees Russes are two of my favorite movies… I love Romain Duris!
