  • addendum to pulse

-Working full-time and doing a show a night is not really feasible
    -I’m a horrible actress
    -I don’t have headshots

but, omg, it would be fun.

(still listening to you can’t stop the beat)

edit: you guys, here’s a screenshot from the front page; what’s up with meatloaf? why is it a hot topic? is this like “i would do anything for love (but i won’t do that)” meatloaf or the actual food?

I would love to see something really weird on there . . . like marmosets, Elmer’s glue or windmills.

edit again: now it’s gone! RIP meatloaf. we hardly knew ye.

  • The odds are against you, but beating them would be nice, huh?

  • — assume to quit daytime job when you’re doing a show
    — they’ll hire you for your singing chops
    — there are plenty of Xangans with major photo skills to help you with that

  • @athanasius2k4 - or answer password request emails at intermission? i love it here too much to throw it out

-yes, i do have mad singing skills (in my car)

-that is hilarious and i love the idea

  • yeah the whole bill paying working thing always gets in the way of fun

  • Weird, I can ONLY sing in my car, But i bet I sound absolutely fabulous when I do. I wouldnt leave xanga until they kick you out, it seems like you have a pretty killer job as it is. If you could do any musical at all, which one would you want to do? And is there a way you might be able to sneak in a little TECH time to help out at a show before actually diving in and auditioning?

Come by sometime if you arent too busy, and check out my new blog. http://weblog.xanga.com/antisoccermom/645480564/on-sex-toys-and-breastpumps.html

  • There’s always karaoke!! haha

  • my ex worked full time and still did theater at night. granted it was community theater, so there was no pay involved, but she loved it. (although she did get paid well to choreograph). it all depends on how high of a scale you want to do things.

  • Your thinking about doing Broadway?

  • dont work too hard.

    -

  • I discovered a week ago you can mention Amy Winehouse in public and strangers will interrupt your conversation to go on about how fucking crazy she is.

  • @Drakonskyr - it’s funny that the first word associated with her is “crazy” or some variant – at least it’s made her a household name, i guess

  • @o_Dirty_Blonde_o - absolutely

@mizzshoez - that’s why i babysit on the side :) i can eat ramen for a year and a half to save money as long as i can have a cupcake every once in a while.

@spiritedsherry - true! i love me some karaoke.

@angi1972 - only in my dreams . . . but it was nagging at me today – like i had some ghost behind me going “GOOOOOO AUDIIIIIIIIIIITIONNNNN!”

@antisoccermom - i do have a killer job! i should have been trying out during my month of unemployment in between moving and starting here! argh.

  • meatloaf bwahahahaha

  • ha ha ha i just noticed your comment on the screenshot was the same as mine, but i did mine in the photoblog before comming to read the post.

i think that we all have dreams like that, where they’re there nagging at us, but there’s not really a snowball’s chance in hell that we’ll ever actually get to do them.

mine is: i’d like to write for a living.

    but

–i’m too busy being a wife and mother

–writing doesn’t tend to pay that well

    and

    –i’m not that good

    >.<

  • ps i bet you are a better actress than you think you are. remember–you are your own worst critic.

  • @awaiting_the_dawn -
yeah, i wanna be a writer too. someday . . . [sigh]. anyway, i would be
an awesome kids’ tv show host, i think, because i can feign enthusiasm,
but as for acting, ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i just wanna sing and dance
    like an idiot.

  • You should be an actress. Go for it!

  • It’s probably the band Meatloaf, not literal meat-loaf. XD

  • living goddess? What does that mean? But I wouldn’t throw out the possibility that it could be meatloaf the food since pizza is on there too.

  • you can do what miley cyrus did: singing and acting classes.

  • lol, that whole meatloaf thing cracked me up.

  • When you become famous can I have your autograph?

  • the same people searching for wwe and nascar are probably the ones looking for meatloaf.  presumably for a cheap, easy to make dinner to supplement their natural light beer.

  • @EndlessMike03 - probably true. god bless cheap and easy dinner that goes with a nice miller light

  • need headshots? I’m possibly your man!

  • Good to see you in the chat yesterday, as you can see, I am moving to video blogging, soon i think i’ll start using the xanga feature!

  • I noticed meatloaf on there too.

    Totally.
    Confused.

  • I saw Jeri Ryan under there a bit back. Apparently Shark is doin’ her right, but I’ll always remember her as the Borg with the big knobs from Voyager.

  • @Drakonskyr - totally. she will never be anything but seven of nine to me.

  • The real question is, when is Jonathon Frakes gonna get back in the acting biz…

  • @Drakonskyr - he was mcdreamy before grey’s even existed! i’d take riker over patrick dempsey any day. i had a thing for wesley crusher, personally – he was a little closer to my age range

  • Wow, now Jeri Ryan is in the top three.

GOOD LORD THOSE BORG BOOBS ARE WORKIN’ IT HARD FOR JAMES WOODS

  • I wanna believe it was the ” i would do anything for love ( but i wont do that)” meatloaf :]
