  • FYI

LaGuardia: left on time, sat on the runway for almost an hour; flew at 13,000 feet (thanks gov’t for opening space typically reserved for the military) and a higher speed and only arrived 10 minutes late

    Jogged through O’Hare

O’Hare: left on time, arrived in Ohio 10 minutes late.

    NOT BAD!

  • That isn’t bad at all… Ohio for Turkey day huh?

    Have a great time!

  • WAIT! So if there had been a layover I would have gotten fun pictures of dissgruntled travelers? WAIT I feel gyped now… hmmm…  :-b

I discovered Polyphonic Spree last year  and I LOVE them… Others in my life however can’t stand them… so I have to sneak listen.

  • SAAA-wweeet—ta

    That’s a rarity…congrats.

Hope your return trip is just as quick and safe.

    Have a great Thanksgiving.

  • Whoa whoa whoa.  I got here from John’s post about choosing featured content – and you are using my unofficial NaNoWriMo Theme.  I have to say, that is pretty cool.

If you’d like, there’s a way to modify it so that the wordcount widget provided by the nanowrimo people can be placed on the site.  Check it out on my own page.

I can’t set it up with the actual Theme because it requires a custom module to use the widget.  All you need to add the custom module to the header area and change the padding in the header dimensions to 5 instead of 105.  The custom module should be something like

Not sure if that code will show up properly; it’s the image to the png file aligned to the right.

    Just thought I’d mention it.

  • Hmmm… text doesn’t seem to show up properly when a mini is attached.  At least, not in IE6 – FF seems to be fine with it.  Should get the Themes people to take a look at that…

  • pas mal, indeed. at first i was nervous you CHOSE to go through o’hare to save a few bucks but since you beat the rush, looks like you made it already. enjoy thanksgiving~

  • Cool beans.

How are there three parts to the record?  Win, lose, draw?  I don’t think you can have a tie with this sort of competition.

I did nanowrimo for the first time last year.  I ended up writing 10,000 words in one sitting on the very last day for the win, though that session came out with some terrible dream-sequence filler.  The story itself was not completed (after 50,000 words, it was still not into the main plot I had envisioned) and I haven’t taken that one up since.  I started another writing project in the summer that moved slowly, but I like the idea a lot.  Nanowrimo for this year is set in that same world, though with entirely new characters.  I hope to incorporate this one into that larger project.  I’m way behind right now, but I haven’t completely given up yet.  It just sucks that November happens to be the last month of classes before final exams for the first semester.

I’m glad you like the Theme.  And now, I must attempt to write another thousand words before the day is out…

  • not bad at all. i’m assuming you didn’t get taken aside for special “random” searches then.

  • oh well.. i was kinda waiting for — “disgruntled travelers with funny luggage”, ha ha ha

  • I’m flying into SF at the end of the year, myself. Out of Ithaca airport…won’t that be fun.

  • Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Are you from Ohio??? That’s where my husband is from. Have a great week when you get back to work~ blessings always

  • He’s from Brecksville, outside of Cleveland…. small world isn’t it??? Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving….We had twelve in our house all week, and we had an incredible time…. my kids all get along extremely well, so it was great!   Thanks for dropping by my site! Blessings always…..
