Writing Novel #4 starting at midnight tonight.
Apologies in advance for mediocre blog entries that may ensue.
P.S. I’ve been listening to This American Life this week during the day and I leave work feeling like the smartest, most cultured person in NYC (even if it only lasts for a minute)
H. Halloween.

Thanks for your comment.
I love TAL. Ira Glass is my hero. LOL. Okay, maybe not really but I have gotten several friends hooked on it.
I don’t know if I’m ready for NaNo or not, I’ve done it 6 times and won 5 but I’m convinced that this year is the year that I’ll really DO it in terms of writing a book that has potential. (Of course, I kind of think that every year …)
Anyway, I do this Email Support thing, where I send an email a couple times a week to encourage my friends who are doing NaNo and if you’d like to have it, I’d be happy to include you in the circle.
Just drop me an email at quiltnmomi@hotmail.com with “NaNo” in the subject line.
Wish I could do that — tell myself: “Xin, you are sitting in front of the computer at XX hour, and you will write your (first) novel. Dooo eeet or I crush jor hed!” Then, actually do it.
It never works though.
That’s okay, typically whenever I’m writing, I’m so brain-dead and surly that I answer my phone with extreme amounts of profanity.
Although I’ve been known to do that anyway…
I think last time I answered the phone with a “you ginormous fuckgreaser, I AM CREATING.”
I am teaching myself PowerShell and using PowerGadgets at work, but it is so noisy that I find myself with the noise cancelling headphones and Beethoven, Bach and Mozart…. Amazing how blocking out the outside world makes my learning progress so much more quickly.
It’s either that or not even pay attention to who’s called, just yell “I AM A GOLDEN GOD” and then hang up.
